Peeps Announces Four New Flavors In 2024

Much like the 2024 Girl Scout cookie season kickoff, this year's announcement of new Peeps flavors has come earlier than ever. Easter itself is fairly early this year, falling on March 31, and Greek Orthodox Easter isn't till May 5, meaning there's a wide window in which to showcase Easter's most divisive yet iconic treat. Just Born, maker of Peeps, intends to make full use of the Easter candy season.

The brand will debut four new products this year, each of which is available via a different retail outlet. You'll have to do some legwork if you want to taste them all. Here's what's on deck:

• Peeps Rice Krispies Treats Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: These will be available only at Walmart, flavored like the classic cereal-and-marshmallow dessert.
• Peeps ICEE Blue Raspberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: This flavor is only available at Target, and the press release describes it as "perfectly reminiscent of a cool ICEE® on a sunny day." This comes on the heels of ICEE's collaboration with Kellogg's on a breakfast cereal that allegedly had the power to "cool your mouth as you eat."
• Peeps Sour Strawberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks: Sour Strawberry flavor will only be available at Kroger-owned grocery stores. Given how delicious Sour Watermelon flavor was, we have high hopes for this one.
• Peeps Delights S'mores Graham Cracker Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Milk Chocolate: Though this product has an intimidatingly long name, the good news is that it will be available at retailers nationwide. They're not entirely coated in chocolate; rather they feature a chocolate base for just the right amount of textural contrast.

• Peeps Milk Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Chicks (unlike the "dipped" varieties, these are entirely coated in chocolate)
• Peeps Easter Essentials (This is a 10-pack assortment available only at Sam's Club)
• Peeps Delights Strawberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Milk Chocolate (Exclusive to Target and, surprisingly, Cracker Barrel stores)
