Pringles Thanksgiving Chips Sell Out In 41 Minutes, Now Running $150 On eBay
Sure, we were pretty fortunate here at Takeout office when we had the Pringles Thanksgiving flavors for breakfast the other day: turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. My colleagues Kate Bernot and Kevin Pang thought they were great. (Personally, I found the sweetness of the pumpkin pie flavor incongruous with the saltiness, but the turkey and stuffing chips were perfectly tasty.) Turns out, we didn't know how fortunate we were to taste these holiday-themed snacks.
The Thanksgiving limited-edition chips were sold only online, and were gone in less than an hour. The Detroit Free Press reports that "The three-pack stackable mini cans went on sale Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. at the kellogsstore.com and cost $14.99. At 12:40 a.m., they were gone." Fans of novelty chips and Thanksgiving were apparently ready to stay up until midnight on Tuesday to make sure that they didn't miss out.
For the rest of us, all is not (completely) lost: You can find the Thanksgiving-themed Pringles chips on sale on eBay. Unfortunately, the price has increased tenfold, with one post listing the current price of the set at $150. Props to you think you'll love these Thanksgiving chips that much: I mean, they were good, but not over-$100-snack good?
