Snoop Dogg Now Guinness Record Holder For World's Largest Gin And Juice
Snoop Dogg paid homage to his favorite beverage 25 years ago with "Gin And Juice," the second single off of his debut album, 1993's Doggiestyle. A few days ago, he topped even that by breaking the world's record for the largest gin and juice ever made: some 132 gallons.
As NME and other outlets report, the record-breaking beverage contained "38 jugs of orange juice, 154 bottles of apricot brandy, and a whopping 180 bottles of gin." The rapper mixed it up onstage at at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival alongside Warren G. and Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio. The concoction is more widely known as the "paradise cocktail," which explains the add of a giant pink umbrella.
Snoop Dogg subsequently displayed his official Guinness certificate on Instagram. Not sure what he means by "another 1," though—another award? This appears to be Dogg's first Guinness win, somehow getting bypassed for "man most dumbfounded by a pinecone."
No word on whether the bountiful beverage was then shared with the crowd, but maybe that's just as well: a supersweet communal drink, distributed in considerable heat, might have some dire consequences for festival-goers. Regardless, congratulations, Snoop Dogg; maybe you can hit your pal Martha Stewart up to craft some humungous hors d'oeuvres to go with your next giant cocktail.
