Simpsons-Themed Dinner Party Features "Really Ripping Lentil Soup" And "Nachos Flanders-Style"
Being a hardcore Simpsons admirer is almost a requirement to work here at Onion, Inc. But even we are impressed by the superfan who created a detailed Simpsons-themed dinner party. Not only did National Post journalist Tristin Hopper build what he believes is the largest Rice Krispie treat in Canada (out of 17 boxes of cereal), he also featured nachos Flanders-style (cottage cheese on cucumbers), Paul McCartney's Really Ripping Lentil Soup from his guest-starring episode, 64 slices of American cheese, and Marge's smiley-faced Happy Crackers.
In what may be the greatest idea I've ever had, I successfully pulled off an all-Simpsons-themed dinner party. pic.twitter.com/lxecwbst9D

Fortunately, Hopper posted these lovely culinary photos on Twitter, where commenters offered several options for a followup dinner, like steamed ham, crab juice, Firehouse Ned's five-alarm chili, and Marge's delicious boiled celery. And much inspiration already appears on the Springfield Cuisine Instagram account, featuring screenshots of Moon Pies and Grade F Meat. There's one dish that should never be featured at a Simpsons dinner party, however: After all, you don't win friends with salad.
