Idris Elba Opened A Cocktail Bar In London, Let's Price Check Flights To Heathrow
Idris Elba, O.B.E. and newly-crowned Sexiest Man Alive, has opened a 60-seat cocktail bar in London. Wait, come back! We haven't even told you where to find it yet!
The Parrot, which Elba opened on the 9th with brothers Nicky and Lee Caulfield inside the Waldorf Hilton in Covent Garden, seats 60 people. It boasts a secret cocktail menu, a stage for the house-band and secret shows from famous people (including Elba, who is also a DJ), and a chauffeur-driven, Parrot-branded Aston Martin, which will shuttle guests to and from the venue and comes equipped with menus for placing orders for cocktail and small plates in advance.
According to The Spirits Business, head bartender Daniele Panzanaro took inspiration from different parrots to create drinks such as the Parakeet, made with Maker's Mark, Wray & Nephew, banana and white pepper. Such beverages can be accompanied by executive chef Karl Richardson's small plates, "served on repurposed seashells." They also oh I don't even know why I'm still writing this, you're still looking at the header photo, aren't you? You just took a screenshot of the top of the article and moved away.
I should just put some random words here. Purple. Biology. Artifical salmon heart bagel kittens. Monopoly money in a blue monkey stomach lunacy barf bag airplane mojo milk toast milquetoast. Red leather yellow leather. Balls! Farts! Jingle bells! The Beltline Bar's famous Mexican café, it's the great taste of Mexico right in your neighborhood! The new season of Doctor Who is great but I don't know why Yaz is so underdeveloped!
The bar's lovely interior, she wrote to absolutely no one, echoes the tropical theme of its cocktails.
