Where To Get Free Food After Losing Sleep To Daylight Saving Time

Make up for that lost hour of sleep by springing forward with some free treats.

Whether you think Daylight Saving Time is an unnecessary national ritual or a great way to soak in more sunny hours throughout the summer, that special day where the clocks spring forward is right around the corner: 2 a.m. this Sunday, March 10. To make up for one less hour of sleep, there are multiple chains offering free food and drinks to the weary.

Less sleep can make you cranky, but it's hard to be cranky when you've got a free coffee in your hand, right? Here's where to go.

7-Eleven (Speedway, Stripes)

In collaboration with coffee creamer brand International Delight, convenience chains 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes will be giving out free samples of a new canned iced coffee product. From March 10 to 11, customers can try International Delight's new Reese's Iced Coffee Cans for free by using a coupon that will be available on both the 7Rewards® and Speedy Rewards® mobile apps. The free coffee can only be redeemed in store while supplies last.

Burger King

After we all lose an hour of sleep, Burger King wants to help rewards members keep their week on track by providing some breakfast deals. From March 10 to 16, Royal Perks members can cash in on daily breakfast deals, including a free Croissan'wich with a purchase of $1 or more on March 10, a free 5-piece order of French Toast Sticks with a purchase of $1 or more on March 11, and a free large hash brown order with any purchase of $1 or more on March 13. More deals can be found each day in the app.

CVS Pharmacy/Grubhub

CVS and Grubhub are kickstarting the Daylight Savings recovery ahead of time by offering a deal from March 9-13. Customers who place an order of $20 or more from CVS Pharmacy using Grubhub can get a Daylight Saving Essentials item. Free items could include pick-me-ups like CELSIUS, Red Bull, Coke Zero, and canned iced coffee.

Dunkin’/Grubhub

Grubhub is also bringing back a popular deal with Dunkin' for Daylight Savings. Any Dunkin' order of $20 or more placed through Grubhub will earn you a free coffee worth up to $7. Grubhub will deliver your free coffee only on March 10.

Starbucks/Gopuff

Another way to score a free cup of coffee on March 10 will be through Starbucks and Gopuff. Customers nationwide can add a free bottled Starbucks Frappuccino to their Gopuff order of $12.95 or more by using the code SPRINGFORWARD at checkout. Philadelphia residents can add a free tall Starbucks iced or brewed coffee to any Gopuff order on March 10 as well.

Taco Bell

The upside to losing an hour of sleep is gaining an hour of morning sun—and the earlier you rise, the sooner you can grab breakfast. On March 10, Taco Bell is offering customers a Breakfast Crunchwrap for the discount price of $2 via the app.

Ziggi’s Coffee

Ziggi's Coffee locations across the U.S. will be running a promotion for Daylight Savings that will surely jolt plenty of people awake: On March 10, customers can bring in any sized cup and fill it with brew for $1.99. Ziggi's encourages customers to go big or go home on this promotion.
