  • Scarlett is passionate about meatballs and dreams of one day compiling the ultimate meatball encyclopedia.

Experience

Scarlett writes, paints, and cooks up creative experiences using food as her narrative medium. Born in China and having moved to the U.S. at the age of 15, she's lived on multiple continents and traveled to over 35 countries, each adventure adding a new layer of taste to her life's recipe. Whether she's designing farm-to-table experiences in China, hustling in the back-of-house at a bustling NYC restaurant, researching for snack companies, curating exhibitions, or exploring hidden culinary gems around the world, Scarlett thrives on food's power to connect and tell stories. A globetrotter at heart, she blends her love for food, art, and storytelling into every project, transforming creativity into a feast for the senses. Scarlett joined the Takeout in 2024 and has been writing since her college days.

Education

Scarlett holds a bachelor's degree in Art History with a minor in Studio Art from Skidmore College and earned a master's degree in Food Studies from New York University in 2024. She has also received training from Le Cordon Bleu.
