  • Nina hails from Philadelphia, home to a number of award-winning and acclaimed restaurants, and lived in Paris for two years - so she's learned a lot about good food along the way.
  • During quarantine, Nina taught herself how to make a perfect roast chicken (ask her, but one tip is that you should dry-brine the bird).
  • Nina's favorite thing to cook is pasta alla vodka.

Experience

Nina has worked for the Static Media family of websites since 2018, when she joined Looper as a freelancer. Since then, she has donned a variety of hats over there by working on video projects and as a writer and editor. Before her time at Looper, Nina worked in the food and beverage journalism scene in Philadelphia and got the chance to meet talented bartenders and chefs (she also worked as a hostess and server before that). In 2024, she joined The Takeout news team as a contributor.

Education

Nina received a bachelor's degree in English literature (with a minor in theater) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. In 2021, Nina earned a master's degree in creative writing (focusing on fiction) from the University of Kent Paris School of Arts and Sciences in the French capital.
