Experience

The child of globetrotting writers who loved nothing more than finding a strange new delicacy or glorious greasy spoon, Mariah had tried deep-fried sheep brains (pretty bland), cold shredded jellyfish (surprisingly crunchy), and kangaroo (pretty darn tasty) by the time she hit high school. She's written on everything from wilderness survival to fine wine and could probably barbecue a scorpion if she really had to. She's edited books by a number of celebrity chefs and created food & drink content for brands including Williams-Sonoma, Outdoor Life, Popular Science, Fly by Jing Foods, The Fishwife, the Peter Michael Winery, and the Exploratorium. She'll go anywhere her ticket is paid and eat anything you dare her to, at least once.

Education

Mariah has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from UC Berkeley and a master's in journalism from NYU.
