Katie has been a professional writer for seven years, covering everything from cooking hacks to international travel. She joined Static Media in 2024 and has been sharing tips and tricks for living a healthy lifestyle as a working mom and creative professional. She loves to share the best meal prep methods that work for a budget- and health-conscious family. Katie started writing as a monthly columnist in Central California in 2016 and has written from Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland since moving back to the East Coast. A Navy Veteran, she has traveled across numerous countries, exploring everything from Michelin-star restaurants to local food trucks. Her work has appeared in PEOPLE Tested, At Ease Magazine, and SHORE Monthly, as well as other print and digital outlets. Her short fiction has received recognition and publication from literary organizations and magazines. When she isn't writing, she teaches creative writing to middle school students in an arts magnet program.

Katie has a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
