He’s actually a really chill guy -- it just comes across that way in that interaction. I agree with you about the perfumi-ness (dig that word) of IPAs. But if you look around, you can find some that are less so. Also, it seems that the trend is moving away from that super-hoppy taste. That wheat IPA was a revelation.
