With over a decade of experience as a journalist, Jessica has spent her career writing for community newspapers like The Argus Observer and The Garden Island Newspaper, where she assumed the role of editor-in-chief in 2020. She enjoyed covering everything from the opening of restaurants and distilleries, to bartender contests and kombucha debuts, farm-to-table delights, and events like the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival. In 2021, she became a full-time freelance writer, bringing her passion for food to multiple Static Media brands including Daily Meal, Chowhound, Mashed, and The Takeout. These days, Jessica maintains an interest in local dining, fresh ingredients, and culinary exploration as well as sharing ways to make an allergen-free life easier and more enjoyable.

Education

Jessica holds a bachelor's degree in mass communications with an emphasis of studies in print journalism.
