  • Anita is a keen foodie and always makes a point to search for unique dining experiences when she visits a new city. She has sampled ice cream at Hong Kong's Modern Toilet restaurant, eaten amid marine life at Bali's Koral Restaurant, and enjoyed Khmer cuisine at Friends, a Phnom Penh restaurant that employs street kids.
  • Having lived in Asia for 12 years, Anita has a particular interest in Indonesian food. As such, she has written articles about Indonesian cuisine for a variety of publications and websites.
  • Anita has reviewed countless restaurants and gastropubs for newspapers and magazines such as DestinAsian, Indonesia Expat, and Phnom Penh Post.

Experience

Anita is an Australian journalist and editor. Currently based in Spain, over the years she has worked for the Phnom Penh Post in Cambodia, as well as the Jakarta Globe newspaper and the DestinAsian magazine in Indonesia. Anita has written travel and food-related articles for the Lonely Planet, SilverKris, Going Places, Asian Geographic, Mabuhay, Tigertales, and Oryx. Over the years, Anita has freelanced for various websites including Mashed.com, Lonely Planet, the Unstoppable Branding Agency, World Words, and Vive Health.

Education

Anita has completed a bachelor of arts degree with honors in English at the University of Adelaide in Adelaide, Australia. She also has a postgraduate degree in journalism from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.
