Here's The Restaurant In Chicago That The Bear Is Based On

"The Bear" on Hulu series centers around a family-run Italian beef stand called The Original Beef of Chicagoland, which eventually becomes a fine dining
restaurant called The Bear.
The Original Beef of Chicagoland is very realistic, as it’s based on a real place: Mr. Beef in the River North neighborhood in Chicago, run by
a man named Chris Zucchero.
The creator of the show, Christopher Storer, is childhood friends with Zucchero. When the show's first season aired, Zucchero said the bump in business was almost overwhelming.
Mr. Beef is known for its Italian beef sandwich, which consists of thinly shaved roast beef simmered in beef jus on French bread. They also sell hot dogs, burgers, and fries.
The pilot was shot in Mr. Beef's dining room, but the place was recreated on a set once the show was picked up. The real Mr. Beef shop is still operating and well in Chicago.
